The **Transportation Planner** provides transportation operations support through the execution of shipment consolidation, carrier / mode selection, tender, track / trace and issue resolution.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor System for new order activity.
- Utilize TMS to consolidate orders / deliveries into optimized shipments.
- Utilize TMS to select carriers for shipments in compliance with routing guide commitments.
- Communicate detailed shipment information to selected carriers (Tender Shipment).
- Monitor response of carriers to tendered shipments.
- Take alternate action in the event of a carrier refusal.
- Track /trace existing orders through delivery.
- Proactively communicate service failures by carriers to affected internal customers (O2I, SNP, DC’s, Plants).
- Proactively resolve carrier service issues through determination and execution of alternative delivery method.
- Track and report carrier performance data to facilitate service level improvement, (ie; tender acceptance %, On-time Arrival / Delivery).
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business or a related field.
- 1 - 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or related field.
- Experience in import and export (operation with US).
- Advanced English level.
- TM9 experience is a plus.
- Experience working with SAP, Google and Microsoft Tools are a plus.
