**Title**: Supervisor, Product Engineering I - Virtual Design, Simulation, and Analysis
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey
**Function**: Engineering (CA)

**Main Responsibilities**:
Provides daily supervision of administrative and technical issues involving Analysis & Simulation engineers and engineering support personnel who work on a project or a specific portion of a project for the John Deere Power Systems’ product development programs using the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP). Collaborate with John Deere Power Systems’ global engineering teams : Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Product Design and Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) groups to achieve timely completion of product development & scheduled tests, improve test cycle times and reduce test iterations. Smaller group size generally consisting of less than 10 and limited responsibility outside the functional area.

**What Makes You Stand Out**:

- Expert level experience in using computer aided engineering (CAE) tools. Ex. Hypermesh, Abaqus, Optistruct, AVL Excite, AVL Fire, Star CCM+, Ansys Fluent, ADAMS : complete tool set knowledge for at least one of the CAE competencies
- Relevant work Experience with FEA / NVH / MBD / CFD (at least one of the competencies).
- Fundamental understanding of IC Engines / Powertrain / Drivetrain will be an added advantage.
- Ability to evaluate the relative merits of new technologies (in CAE domain) for the purpose of creating competitive advantage.
- Experience with Test Correlation and Test Data Analysis. Exposure to any of the test data analysis tools such as nCode, FE-Safe would be an added advantage
- Fundamental skills in Engineering Principles such as Forces, Stress, Material Properties, Fluid & Thermal etc.
- Knowledge in mechanical engineering principles, theory, and practice.
- Knowledge of industry Product Verification & Validation processes and execution methodologies.
- Knowledge of Product Delivery Process programs.

**What Skills You Need**:

- Exchanges necessary information with other functional groups : CAE, Product Design, Physics Test, Manufacturing, Suppliers, etc.
- Provides leadership and counsel to less experienced employees.
- Performs administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, resource planning, training, and development of direct reports.
- Leads in resolution of product-line based difficult technical issues whether within the company or with outside suppliers.
- Leads in developing & managing CAE (Analysis & Simulation) Capability Roadmaps. Leads in developing Standard Analysis Procedures.
- Supervises the implementation of a project or a specific portion of a project for a program using Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) to ensure that the product program goals are met.
- Has limited responsibility outside the functional area.
- Develops, tracks, and meets capital and expense budget for area of responsibility.

**Education**:

- Bachelor of Science: Mechanical / Automobile Engineering with at least 7 Years of relevant Work Experience in CAE
- Master of Science: Mechanical / Automobile Engineering with at least 5 Years of relevant Work Experience in CAE
