Citrix Engineer

**Citrix Systems Engineer IV Summary of Responsibilities**:
**Essential Functions**:

- Define Citrix Desktop Virtualization, Virtual Workspace, and Application Delivery strategy and roadmap
- Design, implement and support enterprise-level Citrix environments o Install, configure, and maintain Citrix servers and related systems
- Lead NetScaler implementations and configuration for networking, load balancing, and performance optimization
- Develop, document, and enforce the standards and controls to ensure integrity of the Citrix environment
- Identify opportunities to standardize, enhance, and automate existing processes
- Provide advanced technical consulting to internal teams for solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems with Citrix and related systems
- Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies
- Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Citrix and related systems
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
- May assist in other related departments as required by business needs

Skills/Requirements:

- Minimum 6+ years of experience in information technology
- One of the following Citrix certifications is preferred: Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE), Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V); Citrix Certified Expert -Virtualization (CCE-V); Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N)
- Extensive experience with Citrix technologies, including CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.1811 or later), Citrix NetScaler, PVS, Web Interface/StoreFront, Citrix Provisioning and Machine Creation Services (MCS), App-V Integration, Citrix AppLayering, Citrix Workspace Environment Manager.
- Proficient in implementing end-to-end Citrix Desktop Virtualization, Virtual Workspace & Application Delivery solutions
- Possess a detailed understanding of architectural dependencies of Citrix technologies
- Must have the ability to identify and instill industry best practices
- Experience in configuring and managing complex Citrix environments containing XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, Storefront, Firewalls, and other supporting technologies
- Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable business language
- 7+ years of experience in deploying and managing large Citrix environments with over 2000 concurrent users
- 7+ years of experience as Citrix Virtualization engineer/administration with responsibilities including roadmap design, assessments, architecture, planning, implementation and upgrades/migrations of Citrix Virtualization solutions
- 7+ years of experience with Windows Server OS, VMware ESX based virtualized server infrastructure, and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies
- Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish new standards for quality, performance or productivity
- Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
- Must have excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or natural sciences preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per month
