**Position: Controller**
**Hybrid (2-3 days in office per week)**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of Premier Mexico’s accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, and treasury management.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing and preparation of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard Premier Mexico assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources and ensure the Premier Mexico’s financial stability.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to support the completion of audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices and assess their impact on Premier Mexico’s financial reporting and operations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the future Premier Mexico accounting team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on manufacturing and distribution industries within Mexico.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.
- Experience in leading and managing accounting teams, with a track record of developing and motivating staff.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and customer/vendor payment portals. Experience with SAP, Ariba, Coupa or Quick Books is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bilingual Required (English and Spanish)
Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per month
