**How you will contribute**
You will plan, lead and manage complex technically focused projects while using your technical expertise to guide, direct and influence activities lead by others. To ensure the right solutions are developed, you will use consumer knowledge and your technical expertise to identify future opportunities and to execute programs with technical rigor. This role will require you to work with cross-functional partners develop and align resource and budget needs for projects. You will be responsible for the technical outcomes of developments related to evaluating new ingredients, formulas, recipes and processes and understanding the impact on scale up between laboratory and production facilities. You will also be responsible for quantifying the technical risks to make recommendations and influence stakeholders.
This position is for an experienced professional who can provide technical leadership to build and nurture an agile, consumer-centric, digital-first organization while driving world-class innovation. This is an individual contributor role but requires a high degree of collaboration within and outside of R&D function.

**Job specific requirements**:
- Product & Process expertise to develop breakthrough innovation in jellies, chewing and hard-boiled candies.
- Subject Matter Expert for coating technologies for gum & candy and expertise to develop new coating technologies.
- Drive MDLZ breakthrough product & process innovation strategies as a member of the Technical Leadership Council (TLC).
- Participate and collaborate with the global technology team to identify long-term needs and integrate technology programs with the future expansion plans.
- Expertise to develop technological solutions to achieve MDLZ sustainability goals through innovative processing and packaging technologies.
- Coach & Mentor, the talent pool of future technical leaders to build a pipeline of highly talented and passionate future technical leaders.
- Drive technical rigor and best practice in process development across the MDLZ product categories.
- Support the Digital R&D vision by participating in data science and modeling & simulation agenda relevant to the category.
**Technical / Functional skills**:
- Master’s degree/PhD in Chemical/Process engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in the CPG/FMCG industry. Preferred hard-boiled, chewy and jellies candy process and its manufacturing technology.
- Advanced technical knowledge and depth along with functional expertise
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- High ability and discipline for technical rigor and knowledge management
- Digital savvy & strong project management skills.
- Advanced English speaking and writing skills are required.
**Mobility**
- LATAM suitable applicants are welcomed, however, relocation to Mexico will be necessary. Relocation support is offered.
