**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
Manage the internal VDA/IATF/PSA/Customer/QFMA audits of the Quality System

Responsible for the maintenance of the Plants quality assurance manual and quality procedures.

Manage and coordinate Product Safety Initiatives (PSA) and Audits for Mexico Operations.

**Essential Functions**:

- Write / implement document control procedures
- Coordinate changes on quality assurance manual and group procedures
- Schedules, directs and participates in internal audits programs of VDA 6.3, IATF 16949 and Product Safety.
- Coordinate the IATF 16949, QFMA, VDA 6.3, PSA External Audits to the Quality Management System
- Coordinate the Management Review
- Support and assist engineering department on all product transfer and new launches.
- Capable to respond with structured problems solving method to internal and external complaints
- Drive the “Product Safety” initiatives and coordinate the implementation in Mexico Operations.
- Communicate and Support PSA activities and procedures with team members.
- Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
- Knows and communicates the need for product safety.
- Drive the “QFMA” Quality First maturity Assessment initiatives and coordinate the implementation in Mexico Operations.
- Drive the “IATF 16949” initiatives and coordinate the implementation in Mexico Operations.
- Support to other departments on preparation of External Audits IATF 16949, QFMA, PSA, VDA 6.3, Customer Audits
- Analyzes and evaluates the efficiency corrective actions and compliance with VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, Product Safety, Customer Audits.
- As well performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

**Management & Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Job **is** **NOT directly** responsible for managing other employees.

**Knowledge**:

- In depth knowledge of VDA 6.3 process audit, core tools APQP/PPAP/MSA/SPC/FMEA/Control Plan, C/C’s, S/C’s and quality assurance principles
- VDA 6.3 knowledge
- IATF 16949 knowledge
- Product Safety Knowledge
- Strong Quality System Knowledge
- Product Safety Exposure (preferred)
- Blue Print Interpretation and GD&T (preferred).
- Air Brake Product and Process Knowledge (preferred)
- Bendix Quality Management System Exposure (preferred)
- CQI’s Continue Quality Improvement Knowledge (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Experience as responsible of the VDA process and follow-up (3 yrs Preferred)
- Experience on IATF Internal /External Audits at Bendix (3 Yrs Preferred)
- Experience on Product Safety Management at Bendix (2 Yrs Preferred)

- Industrial Engineer, B.S. in science related field or equiv.

- Certified Internal Auditor on VDA or IATF 16949 (preferred)
- Green Belt (preferred)
- Certified product Safety (preferred)
