Job Summary

Job Summary:
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Purchasing Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The Purchasing Manager will be reporting directly to Materials Manager, will be responsible for overseeing activities related to the procurement of Direct materials, parts, components and equipment. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in procurement consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.

What a typical day looks like:

- Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
- Establishes goals and objectives for purchasing department.
- Manage and lead a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management objectives
- Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies
- Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance
- Supervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and services
- Prepares, approves and issues purchase orders and change notices through subordinates.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Ensures continuity of raw material supply to support production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets.
- Work closely with planning to update and catch any change son material deliveries or needs.
- Analyzes inventory levels. Supports process to manage excess and obsolete material.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and support the team to maintain supplier consistent on time delivery and implement processes with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality of product / service.
- Monitors on-time supplier deliveries, inventory turns, MRP execution, Purchase Price Variance, lead-time reduction, supplier performance and cost analysis. Take care of metrics such as Past Dues.
- Act as first point of escalation with suppliers and communicate all unresolved issues to the Materials Manager.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies.
- Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills
- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple area
- Understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Makes decisions for the function. Decisions may affect the site.
- Supports strategic direction for the function.
- Instills appropriate behavior in others in support of Flex values.
