ROLE SUMMARY
The Compensation and Benefit Mgr for Mexico and CAC is responsible to administer employee compensation and benefit programs and policies. Implement, administer, evaluate and support the design of effective Compensation and Benefits solutions, governance, tools and processes in line with Pfizer’s Global Total Rewards philosophy and strategy, to enhance Pfizer’s ability to attract, motivate, retain and engage a high-performing, committed workforce.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage administration of insured and other benefits on a day-to-day basis, including but not limited to reviewing escalations, liaising with third party service providers and advisers, guaranteeing service levels, and providing guidance on case handling in accordance to Pfizer’s policy, Manage annual renewal process for insured benefits, serve as point of contact for and oversee local benefit providers. This includes responsibilities for the Pension Plan management in Mexico.- Manage day-to-day compensation operational activities, including but not limited to job evaluations, compensation benchmarking, job offers, compensation survey submission, - Provides consultation and guidance to local business leaders and HR partners about compensation and benefits related matters (e.g. pay decisions, policy & guideline interpretation, reward & recognition programs, etc.).- Identify compensation, benefit and reward & recognition issues that may affect critically important colleague cohorts and recommend options to mitigate potential issues.- Contribute to the design, coordination and roll-out of the annual compensation cycle process (base salary, bonus and long-term incentives) and provide guidance and support to HR colleagues and local business leadership.- Support the design and maintenance of Global Compensation Frameworks, Management Vehicle Reviews and Severance policies, in partnership with local HR colleagues and business representatives- Through combined functional expertise and creative/innovative mindset, support the implementation of innovative solutions to simplify Compensation and Benefits Operations processes, including options for further digitalization / automation.- Understand compensation and benefit trends and evolutions in the Pharmaceutical Industry
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar field- 5 or more years of relevant compensation and benefits experience- Fluent English- Team oriented- Understanding of compensation and benefit principles, tools, processes and methodologies, and be able to resolve and explain complex compensation and benefit issues- Innovative / creative and continuous improvement mindset with passion for increased efficiency and effectiveness through automation / digitalization- Capability to operate effectively in multi-cultural/international environments and influence leaders from different backgrounds and experiences- Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility, communicate authentically and consult effectively across multiple disciplines within HR and the supported business to achieve desired outcomes- Ability to proactively identify issues / considerations and provide strategic consultation to mitigate potential issues- Customer-focused and immediately responsive to business and HR leadership- Able to operate in a highly matrixed and complex organizational context- Ability to manage in ambiguity- Demonstrates personal effectiveness: ability to cope with change, manage workloads and deliverables and actively committed to own personal and professional development- Analytical capability
