**Qualifications**:

- Experience teaching middle school
- Breadth of curricular experience in English Literature and Writing

- Previous international teaching experience
- Leadership in student activities or clubs
- Learner Mindset with a desire to collaborate in teams
- Experience teaching creative writing

The American School Foundation of Guadalajara A.C. is an institution dedicated to inspiring, educating, and acting to improve our world. We are looking for a Middle School 8th grade English Language Arts Teacher department and be part of our community.

The 8th-grade English teacher is responsible for planning and facilitating engaging, rigorous instruction that focuses on various genres of English literature and develops the critical reading, writing, speaking, and thinking skills of all learners. The course equips students with the skills and strategies needed to be more independent and self-directed learners as they prepare to enter high school. These include annotating, rhetorical analysis, and crafting a nuanced argument.
