Sr Continuous Improvement Engineer

Implement Six Sigma (SS), Lean Manufacturing (Lean), Fast R-DMAIC (JDI), Kepner & Tregoe, MODAPTS, and Kaizen projects to solve problems and/or improve Health, Safety, Ergonomics, Environment, Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, Profitability, and Work Culture at the Plant.
Responsabilities:
- Demonstrate zero tolerance for unsafe acts and conditions, promoting continuous improvement in health and safety performance, environmental stewardship, pollution prevention, and the quality and safety of the product and service provided. Implement all applicable legal and other standards and guidelines, as well as those of the organization's Business Operating System (BOS); maintain the necessary records to demonstrate compliance; and attend all training sessions relevant to your functions and responsibilities.
- • Execute Six Sigma (SS) projects with passion using the R-DMAIC methodology, focusing on Quality (40%), improving Health, Safety, Ergonomics, Environment, and Work Culture (20%), and Cost Reduction through Increased Efficiency and Profitability (40%), while keeping them updated weekly in the SP/BP Project Management Database (both your own and those of assigned CI Practitioners).
- Lead and enthusiastically implement Lean Manufacturing (Lean) projects, utilizing Lean Manufacturing philosophy tools and/or MODAPTS, transforming the organization culturally and physically. Maintain weekly updates on these projects in the SP/BP Project Management Database (both your own and those of assigned CI Practitioners).
- Implement Fast R-DMAIC (JDI or Kaizen) projects with agility, utilizing basic statistical and quality tools. Maintain weekly updates on these projects in the SP/BP Project Management Database (both your own and those of assigned CI Practitioners).
- Implement Kepner & Tregoe projects, conducting problem analysis and decision-making processes that impact the safety, quality, and productivity of your work teams, and maintain weekly updates in the SP/BP Project Management Database (both your own and those of assigned CI Practitioners).
- Participate as a team member in the implementation of standardized work processes based on technical and operational training. This includes managing, monitoring, training, and promoting the technical and operational training team.
- Enthusiastically participate in R&D and GAP Analysis Workshops to identify and define opportunities for cost reduction and improvement of KPIs.
- Responsible for maintaining the plant layout, ensuring dimensional accuracy and alignment with the Floor Space Planning Tool (FSPT). • Ensure plant layouts are aligned with AutoCAD® standards.
- Promote and lead projects focused on lean flows throughout the plant to improve space efficiency.
- Develop Value Stream Mapping – Current, Future, and Ideal State with a plan to reduce variables and optimize the value chain.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years minimum experience as a Manufacturing, Quality, or Continuous Improvement Engineer.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in the automotive industry preferred.
