Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and Exadata to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will manage mission-critical database environments, optimize performance, support cloud migrations, automation initiatives and security of database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.

Your Impact

As Database Administrator (Oracle and Exadata) your responsibilities would consist of:

o Database Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch, troubleshoot performance issues, tune queries, manage replication/clustering.
o Automating provisioning, patching, alert resolutions
o Configuring VCN, subnets and security groups for databases
o Performance & Capacity Planning: Optimize workloads, forecast scaling needs.
o Configure Oracle grid infrastructure, ASM and RAC clusters
o Implement data guard for DR and HA
o Support Exadata db@cloud deployments
o Define and enforce database security policies, including TDE, auditing, and access controls
o Collaborate with InfoSec teams to conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans
o Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for performance degradation, node failures, or data loss incidents
o Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and architectural blueprints

Education

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Experience

3+ years DBA experience with Oracle databases and Exadata
Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters): Setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
ASM (Automatic Storage Management): Disk group management and performance tuning
Data Guard: High availability and disaster recovery configuration
RMAN (Recovery Manager): Backup, restore, and cloning operations
SQL & PL/SQL: Advanced query tuning, procedure development, and debugging
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM): Monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics
Transparent Data Encryption (TDE): Data protection at rest
Performance Tuning: AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL Plan Management
