Role Overview (Independent Contractor)

AgTech-Pro is seeking an independent contractor to support project-based research, analysis, and deliverable development across AgTech consulting engagements.

The contractor will provide services including structured research, insights synthesis, slide development, and coordination support for specific assigned projects.

Scope of Work (Project-Based Deliverables)

The contractor may be engaged to perform services such as:

- Conduct structured market, technology, and competitive research across crops, regions, and AgTech categories.
- Deliver written summaries, structured insights, and research-based recommendations as defined per project.
- Prepare professional slide decks, analyses, frameworks, and visual materials for internal or client use.
- Assist in preparing materials for client presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions.
- Support coordination activities related to specific projects (e.g., preparing agendas, documenting discussions, tracking progress).
- Collect, organize, and interpret data from various public and proprietary sources such as USDA, FAO, government databases, and industry reports.
- Provide light administrative or support services directly related to project deliverables.

Note:

Responsibilities are connected to defined project scopes, not ongoing internal operational duties.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

- 2–6 years of professional experience in agriculture or AgTech, such as agronomy, precision agriculture, farm operations, or agricultural market research.
- Experience working in an international environment, ideally with organizations or teams based in North America or Europe.

Education

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (agronomy, ag engineering, ag economics, crop science, biology, or similar)

Skills

- Strong English communication skills
- Excellent slide-building ability (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
- Solid analytical skills (Excel/Sheets, structuring and interpreting data)
- Strong proficiency with AI tools to support research and deliverable development
- Ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- High reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage own workflow
- Comfortable collaborating remotely across time zones

Location Requirement

This contractor role is open exclusively to candidates based in Latin America, with strong preference for Colombia or Mexico.

Contractor Classification

This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employment relationship.

The contractor:

- Sets their own working hours
- Works remotely using their own equipment
- May perform services for other clients
- Is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and legal compliance in their country
- Will be paid a contractor fee based on agreed-upon scope and deliverables

No employee benefits (such as health insurance, vacation, or employment protections) are provided under this arrangement.
