RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quotes
Serve as the primary contact for distribution, manufacturers' representatives, and Omron Territory Managers for special price requests.
Collaborate with distributors, manufacturers' representatives and Omron Territory Managers to gather necessary details to submit for quotation approval.
Gather and assess market intelligence to ensure maximum profits.
Coordinate with overseas Business Units for quote approvals.
Prepare open quote reports for the sales representatives to review with their distributor branches.

Sales Support
Provide consistent, timely responses and high-quality service to our customers.
Establish strong relationships with distribution branch inside sales representatives to help support revenue growth at small to medium accounts.
Assist in building your region's sales funnel by generating opportunities through phone and email engagement with select Target Accounts assigned by regional manager. Support may include removing obstacles, clarifying information, and identifying alternatives for parts not readily available.
Process sample requests and design registrations.
Act as the initial point of contact for end-of-life guidance to direct customers.

Technical Support & Other
Collaborate with Omron Applications Support, Regulatory Support and Factory Engineering to support customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Provide technical assistance such as detailed competitor comparisons, product test data or other information beyond the scope of the datasheet.
Assess and qualify incoming leads to determine whether they require sales follow-up or are seeking technical information and support only.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and continually expand technical expertise.
Identify and present new ideas for improved processes and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor's degree, technical field preferred. Associates degree with commensurate experience may also be considered.
Experience: 1-3 years related experience required. Experience working in a Japanese-based company, within an internal manufacturing or sales organization, or within the electronic/electrical component industry is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual English and Spanish is required. Portuguese, Japanese and/or French is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Familiarity with SalesForce, Siebel, JDE, Cognos, and Power-BI helpful.
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
Sales and customer engagement aptitude, with ability to leverage technical knowledge to identify needs, recommend solutions, and support the sales process.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong time management skills to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Results oriented, resourceful, highly organized and strong attention to detail.
Proactive in identifying solutions and resources.
Professional demeanor, and comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
Work Environment: Ability to effectively work remotely 50% of the time. When in the office, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Travel Requirements: Minimal.
