Key Responsibilities

- Conduct keyword research using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Keyword Planner.
- Develop and execute on-page SEO strategies, including metadata optimization, internal linking, schema markup, and content recommendations.
- Coordinate off-page SEO efforts, including link building, citations, guest posts, and digital PR.
- Audit websites for technical issues (Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexing, etc.) and create actionable improvement plans.
- Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles (GMB/GBP) for local SEO clients.
- Collaborate with the content and web teams to ensure best practices are implemented site-wide.
- Track rankings, traffic, and conversions using Google Analytics, Search Console, and reporting dashboards.
- Prepare monthly SEO reports highlighting wins, issues, and next steps.
- Stay updated on Google algorithm changes and SEO trends.

Requirements

- 2+ years of proven experience in SEO (agency experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow CMS.
- Experience using SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GMB Everywhere, SurferSEO, etc.).
- Knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

- Experience with AI SEO tools (SurferSEO, NeuronWriter, or ChatGPT for content optimization).
- Background in local SEO for home services or healthcare clients.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Experience coordinating with remote teams via Basecamp or ClickUp.
