Accounting Associate

COMPANY OVERVIE

Maxima Apparel Corp is a leading streetwear / sportswear licensed apparel brand collective that designs, sources, markets and sells high quality products in multiple segments with a primary focus in men’s and women’s licensed apparel, outerwear, and headwear. The company has a strong foundation in the market that it services with the prestigious brands it owns and the products it manufactures. The goal of the company is to deliver product fast with good quality, competitive price, and value with a strong focus on good customer service

Key Deliverables

- Data entry into accounting software including Inventory
- General Journal Entries as instructed by Senior and or Management
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts payable data entry and reconciliation
- Review Employee Expense Reimbursements providing valid supporting documentation is attached.
- Understand and comply with company accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- English and Spanish fluency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting /Finance.
- 1+ years of professional experience in Accounting roles, preferably at international companies.
- Basic understanding Accounting/reporting under US GAAP
- Basic knowledge in Mexican legislation (basic federal taxes income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, payroll taxes)
- Basic knowledge of tax compliance, informative returns, due dates of federal and state taxes
- Intermediate to advance level in excel (formulas, Pivot Tables)
