North American Production Sharing De México S.A. De C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Cost Analyst to join our team.
Job Summary:The Cost Analyst will be responsible for product costing, annual burden/overhead studies, and inventory valuation. This role will also involve maintaining costed bills of materials, ensuring the integrity of perpetual inventory, and performing variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain product costing records in the ERP system, adhering to company policy.
- Ensure the integrity of daily perpetual inventory/stock status listing.
- Conduct cost and burden studies of production and support operations, customer requirements, capacity utilization, and floorspace requirements.
- Monitor cycle counting activity, integrity, and gain/loss-root cause analysis.
- Identify, implement, monitor, and report cost reduction opportunities, actual and prospective.
- Aid company financial analysis by tracking categorical costs and actual variances from baseline costs.
- Assist function manager with understanding line-item account variances, actual vs. baseline cost, and integrate cost containment perspectives where necessary.
- Perform annual cost/burden study and standards revision.
- Perform make-buy analyses and alternative sourcing studies considering fully loaded/landed costs.
- Develop inventory valuation methodology for financial statement presentation in accordance with GAAP (lower of cost or market).
- Participate in month-end closing and analysis.
- Develop actionable management reporting, dashboards, and KPIs, as well as oversee monthly variance analysis and operating reviews to track overall business success.
- Work closely and collaborate with management teams to gather, analyze, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, operating forecasts, and other analytical projects.
- Be an integral role in the implementation of new ERP System.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in Cost Analyst.
- Extensive experience building financial models.
- Strong computer and financial skills.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Advanced English (must).
