Amazon is seeking experienced professionals to fill the role of Area Manager in our Fulfillment Centers (FCs). As a leading e-commerce company, we distribute millions of products annually to our loyal customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process change initiatives to drive business growth and excellence.
- Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable for their performance and departmental goals.
- Leverage the Operations team by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Ensure best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
- Collaborate with support staff to build and secure resources for projects and initiatives.
- Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area.
- Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Sr. Ops, General Manager, and/or HR.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of Strong Operations Management experience in manufacturing, production, distribution environment or related industry
- Excel skills required
- English and Spanish Proficient
- 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience
- MBA from IIM/XLRI
- Proficiency in Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred
- Post MBA experience
- BE/B.Tech Engineering, Operations, or related field
