Your Role at Baxter
As an IT Senior Specialist, you will play a critical role in transforming our global IT function into a more efficient, innovative, and connected business process. You will work closely with our IT teams and business stakeholders to identify, diagnose, and solve system issues, and to develop and execute unit/system/validation test cases, scripts, and plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with end-users and management to define and document business needs
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify, diagnose, and solve system issues
- Coordinate service delivery for JDE ERP solutions
- Plan and execute system implementations and change controls with focus on user experience
- Translate business requirements and proposed solutions into documented Functional Specifications
- Partner closely with technical experts to help translate functional needs into technical solutions
- Develop, and execute unit/system/validation test cases, scripts, and plans. Facilitate testing activities across IT groups and regions.
- Perform tasks with minimum direction, independently manage complex problems, guide others
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Computer Science field
- 5-7+ years of experience in asset management
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability
- Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills, ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities, attention to detail and strong organization skills are essential
- Familiarity working across multiple business domains in support of projects
- Ability to interact with business users, project managers, senior management, outsourced service providers, and vendors
- Self-starter, independent thinker, able to work with minimum direction, high level of initiative and energy
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other IT professionals and business stakeholders
- Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
- Proactive responsible individual, able to set own action plans
- Ability to influence and build consensus with other IT teams and leadership
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
