Location/Division Specific Information:

The Medical Communications division at PPD provides worldwide opportunities in support of biopharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Our team is a diverse group of dedicated professionals focused on customer education and support aimed at enhancing patient health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate training and quality assurance programs and initiatives. Schedule onboarding sessions for new hires, identify training deficiencies, and design and implement training curricula to foster continuous improvement. Conduct quality assessments of staff interactions and related documentation, coordinating corrective action plans as necessary. Ensure compliance with corporate, departmental, and client policies, including standard operating procedures and relevant health authority regulations (FDA, EMEA), as well as standard inquiry management practices.

A Day in the Life:

  • Plan, develop, and deliver training programs and materials for all team members.
  • Conduct product or disease-specific training sessions as required.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and observe sessions to identify trends and enhance employee performance.
  • Integrate training initiatives with client needs while navigating organizational cultural differences.
  • Maintain training documentation in a state ready for audits.
  • Review staff performance and ensure accuracy and completeness of information provided, including clinical content.
  • Evaluate quality trends and provide constructive feedback to management.
  • Support program-related audits and assist with departmental projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field with relevant academic or vocational qualifications.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience that equips you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of applicable health regulations (FDA, EMA) and local guidelines.
  • Strong familiarity with pharmaceuticals and drug information.
  • Ability to conduct thorough reviews of calls and documentation, providing clear and actionable feedback.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in digital tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to train and mentor colleagues.
  • Proficient language skills (comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing) as required for the position.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to utilize various computer software, both proprietary and commercial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, ensuring clarity of information.
  • Frequent interaction with diverse groups to convey or gather information.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance, managing work schedules to achieve objectives.
