Avery Dennison Smartrac seeks a highly skilled Senior Commercial Development Manager to drive commercial growth and strategy execution in Mexico's apparel and general retail segments. Reporting directly to the US Commercial Director, this results-oriented leader will engage at an executive level externally, leading both dedicated and cross-functional teams to commercialize Avery Dennison's full suite of enterprise service solutions and materials offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute Commercial Strategy: Develop a comprehensive commercial strategy for the apparel and general retail segments in Mexico, aligned with Avery Dennison's broader strategy, goals, and objectives.
  2. Market Understanding and Customer Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive forces in the Mexican apparel and general retail segments.
  3. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Build and manage a high-performing sales team that drives revenue growth, ensures team members have the skills and tools necessary to succeed, and establishes effective communication channels with the team and other stakeholders.
  4. Commercial Excellence: Lead with commercial excellence, including segmentation, go-to-market, sales enablement, and establish performance management and tracking metrics.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of successful commercial or related business development experience, retail/general merchandising experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of building relationships at the executive level.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally may be required up to 30% of the time.
