As a Contract/Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Team Lead in closing books, preparing external financial statements, and conducting financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Finance Team Lead to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement financial models to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Coordinate with Loan Administration to record loan updates and related data in the Accounting system.
- Manage vendor relationships, including payment and communication.
- Assist with special projects, such as process automation and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Requirements:
- 100% fluency in English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent Excel proficiency and experience with financial modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years' general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience with Sage GL and AP is preferred, but not required.
- Well-versed in IFRS and/or GAAP accounting.
- Proficient with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Proactive approach and strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail.
