**Job Summary**

Expeditors International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Agent to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our company's accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate payment from our customers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform daily accounts receivable activities, including updating our accounts receivable system, contacting customers for outstanding invoices, preparing accounts receivable meetings, and processing credit extensions.
  • Weekly contact with each customer on overdue invoices, updating the accounts receivable log with detailed collection notes, and following up in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify and help resolve problem accounts, building key relationships with clients and internal staff to effectively resolve issues and collect payment on invoices quickly.
  • Process credit extensions, review and monitor approved credit limits, and provide weekly reporting on slow-paying clients and aged invoices.
  • Update accounts receivable meeting records in AMS & RTM with management, and participate in weekly 1-on-1 meetings with operational departments.
  • Support the accounting department with miscellaneous projects and assignments, and review F2F reserve reports and contact collection offices.
  • Daily check on OCL requests, and participate in internal meetings with account management.

**Qualifications:**

  • At least 3 years of experience in collections.
  • Knowledge of Expeditors training and company policies, Expeditors systems and procedures.
  • Solid intermediate level Excel skills, good data entry and computer skills, ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize a demanding workload.
  • Telephone skills, effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills in English, good customer service, and customer portals.
