Senior Building Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Consultant to join our Building Consulting team in Mexico. This is a unique opportunity for a driven and entrepreneurial individual with a well-rounded skill set to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with clients and project representatives to schedule and perform field inspections and site visits to evaluate the scope of work/damage.
  • Estimate medium to large infrastructure, hospitality, health, industrial, commercial, and residential projects using industry-standard estimating software.
  • Document, review, and analyze schedules, contracts, change orders, correspondence, daily reports, meeting minutes, monthly reports, and additional documents related to the project/file.
  • Provide technical direction to other consultants and interact with clients to support their files.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to develop new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university, including a valid Mexican professional engineer license.
  • 10 years' experience as a Superintendent or Intendent in large infrastructure, hospitality, health, or industrial projects, preferably with International Contractors.
  • Relevant experience in the restoration and/or restoration contracting field as a Superintendent, specializing in working with insurance companies, with responsibilities related to scheduling, project management, and estimating.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality expert reports.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and be detail-oriented.
  • Strong independent work ethic and leadership skills, with exceptional customer service skills to support and solve client requests.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications:
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Must be able to write reports of findings after inspections 50% of the day-to-day.
  • May be exposed to UV radiation from the sun, radon, or other forms of air pollution.
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time, locally, out-of-state, abroad, and for CAT response when needed.
