About the RoleYour key responsibilities as a Principal Microbiologist Research Scientist will include:
- Developing and executing microbiological research projects that support product development and quality assurance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including research and development, quality control, and manufacturing, to ensure effective implementation of microbiological testing protocols.
- Maintaining and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to microbiological testing and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing training and technical support to colleagues on microbiological testing and quality control procedures.
To be successful as a Principal Microbiologist Research Scientist, you should have a strong background in microbiology, with a PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field. You should also have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a research and development or quality control environment, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Expertise in microbiological testing, including isolation, identification, and characterization of microorganisms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
We are looking for a talented individual who possesses the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of microbiological principles, methods, and regulations.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other software applications used in microbiological testing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
