About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Executive to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our Procurement Execution Center, you will be responsible for executing procurement and business strategies, streamlining business processes, and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Realize and drive initiatives to improve Year-over-Year (YOY) Savings and Trade Working Capital (TWC) for Global Procurement independently.
- Support Request for Proposal (RFP) processes using the preferred e-Sourcing tool and with Procurement Services Leader (PSL) guidance.
- Research, identify, negotiate, and register appropriate providers by region/country to support business unit and plant operations with minimal guidance.
- Work effectively with all category managers and business unit leaders regionally to ensure alignment of the global strategy and adoption of best practices.
- Lead strategy for low-to-medium spend sub-categories, building execution roadmaps and negotiation plans with Category Manager approval.
- Drive Spend Analysis and ensure clear Spend Reporting by reclassifying vendor spend to the proper taxonomy.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Data team to build reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) that drives and accelerates savings initiatives.
- Facilitate Request for Proposal (RFP) Enablement with Category Managers, including working with the data team to extract data for the RFP, data crunching, coordinating/following up with vendors, receiving quotes, and facilitating bid analysis/scenario modeling to accelerate decision making for RFPs.
- Drive our Spend Under Contract Key Performance Indicator (KPI) by partnering with the Category Manager to ensure our Contracts are loaded into our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Tool.
- Review and negotiate Contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs) for cross-functional categories.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and regulation changes that may affect our business operations and communicate impacts proactively.
- Generate financial/savings reporting using our preferred tool (Wave).
- Engage and enable training of our Indirect Stakeholders on how to effectively engage with the team and how to utilize our solutions/agreements.
- Perform other Procurement duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- +6 years of relevant experience in Indirect Procurement, with prior experience in Professional Services, Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO), Facilities Management (FM), Fleet, Travel, or Logistics preferred.
- Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive Global projects to completion.
- Deep understanding of RFP processes and good understanding of a Source-To-Pay process, including knowledge of Category Management principles.
- Ability to perform Spend Analysis and rationalize tail spend.
- CLM principles, with the ability to read and negotiate SOWs and contracts.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel (index/match, array formulas) or VBA skills preferred.
- Microsoft Power Apps (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) or other data tools preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and business judgment.
