Job Title: Pipeline Facilities Engineer - Mexico City

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Facilities Engineer to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting projects in the United States through various regional offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Development: Perform mechanical and process engineering to support the design development of projects from the conceptual phase through detailed design completion.
  2. Design Review: Review and provide markups on design drawings, 3D Models, ISO drawings, etc., for projects including pipeline, M&R stations, and compressor stations.
  3. PFD and P&ID Development: Produce complete PFDs and P&IDs from verbal or written descriptions from senior engineers.
  4. Engineering Calculations: Engineer mechanical components like bills of materials for pipes, valves, and fittings based on project design requirements.
  5. Analysis and Research: Apply strong knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the discipline.
  6. Project Support: Review, analyze, and index pipeline material features and produce engineering calculations and reports, including hydraulics to support hydrostatic pressure test designs.
  7. Client Support: Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
  8. Design Updates: Update drawings provided by senior engineers to ensure corrections are made within multiple CAD-related software.
  9. Procurement Support: Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
  10. Specifications and Datasheets: Create project specifications and datasheets for procurement packages.
  11. Procurement Packages: Create procurement packages, request for quotes, perform bid evaluations, and recommend vendors.
  12. Simulation and Analysis: Perform simulations and analysis on preliminary engineering projects using software such as AFT products, Pipeline Technical Toolbox, Aspen programs (especially HYSYS), etc.
  13. Collaboration: Work closely with other disciplines (Piping, Process, Electrical, I&C, Structural, and Civil) to ensure integrated project delivery.
  14. Client Meetings and Field Inspections: Attend meetings with clients as needed and perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  15. Travel and Field Assignments: Be prepared for field assignments and potential travel.
  16. Emerging Technologies: Desire to actively engage in our emerging technology and decarbonization efforts, including the implementation of hydrogen and carbon capture technologies within our projects.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in pipeline facilities engineering, with a preference for experience in decarbonization technologies.
  3. Professional Registration: Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Cédula Profesional preferred.
  4. Language and Technical Skills: Proficiency in English and extensive knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE).
  5. Software and Tools: Experience with engineering design tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Pipeline Technical Toolbox, Aspen One, AFT products) and a strong background in emerging technologies related to carbon.
