We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Wholesale Technology team in Mexico, reporting to the Head of Wholesale Technology - MD. As the Head of Wholesale Technology Mexico, you will provide local entity leadership for 100+ Wholesale technology permanent staff and contingent resources based in Mexico.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Aligning capacity and skills with the Wholesale technology strategy, driving innovation, and overseeing the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions.
  2. Collaborating with technology horizontals and wholesale value streams to manage Architecture & Design, DevOps Standards & Tools, Engineering, Application Support, and IT Management Services.
  3. Working with stakeholders to make HSBC/HTM a great employer of Choice and Operationally brilliant (Global/HTM/OpCo Metrics).
  4. Communicating effectively with respective Orgs on HSBC/HTM Level Policies/Guidelines and managing employee sentiment.
  5. Building a world-class Engineering Team in HTM with a diverse and empowered culture that provides outstanding learning and career development opportunities.
  6. Talent Management: Responsible for direct cost, headcount management, and annual planning for in-country teams.
  7. Managing internal job posting (IJP) process, Pay & Promotions for Wholesale Technology colleagues.
  8. Proactively managing attrition for both perm and non-perm staff and building a culture of recognition to increase retention across all service lines.
  9. Primary accountability for GSVs and PSLs and regular partnership and liaison with vendors on platforms and products in Mexico Tech Centre.
  10. Ensuring in-country Ways of working, including Hybrid working, are current, and contributing to the Mexico leaderboard on Employee Snapshot survey.
