About the Role
Emerson Discrete Automation is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Engineer Leader to join our team in Monterrey, Mexico.
The successful candidate will lead and direct activities related to qualification, development, and maintenance of Discrete Automation Suppliers. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Strategic Supplier Partnerships
- Improve supplier performance through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality improvement tools
- Identify technologies necessary for supplier performance improvement
- Develop measurements needed to monitor supplier performance improvement
- Sourcing and Procurement Support
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Conduct on-site audits and provide training on supplier quality procedures
- Supplier Business Reviews
- Present supplier performance metrics and identify action items
- Tactical Support to Manufacturing Sites
- Work with suppliers to implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans
- Lead corrective and preventive actions from Suppliers D's or nonconformance reports
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A technical degree (BSME, BSEE, BS Metallurgical Engineering, BSIE)
- Expertise across various manufacturing techniques
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity and develop solutions
- Knowledge of quality system methodologies (MSA, FAI, Control Plan, AQL, APQP, Lean, Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP)
- Years of experience in supplier improvement efforts
- Project management and auditing skills
- Proficiency in quality techniques (FMEA, SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, GD&T, Process Mapping)
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Our Offer
We offer a competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
