Pastry Baker

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Baker to join our team at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa in Mexico. As a Pastry Baker, you will be responsible for preparing breads and pastries, including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
• Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures

Requirements:

• Technical degree or certification in baking and pastry arts
• At least 2 years of experience in a commercial bakery or hotel pastry department
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain high-quality standards
