This role is responsible for supporting the industrialization of new product development within our manufacturing facilities. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for supporting existing products as quality or manufacturing issues related to design arise.
Key Responsibilities- Create Standard Operating Procedures for new product development and existing products.
- Manage projects that drive new product development, design changes, and cost reduction.
- Establish process controls for new product development projects that ensure we reach target yields, cost, and quality.
- Utilize continuous improvement solutions and six sigma methodologies to drive product improvements.
- Act as a key link between Engineering, Operations, quality teams, and process teams to properly introduce new products into the manufacturing plants.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, Ceramic, Materials, or Mechanical disciplines.
- Must speak fluent English.
- 2-3 or more years of experience working in a related position.
- Advanced Statistics (8D's, 5 Whys, brainstorming, Pareto charts, histograms).
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Interpretation of control charts, process capability (Cp and Cpk).
- Experience writing PFMEA's is preferred.
