Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

Omron Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information in a shared services environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month-end close and reporting process
  • Review ledger accounts, recommend and prepare adjusting journal entries
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation
  • Prepare, record, and analyze accounting transactions
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting records
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and procedures to improve efficiency of the month/quarter close process
  • Assist with internal control evaluations
  • Participate in the documentation and execution of accounting projects
  • Support various operational activities, audit deliverables, ad hoc projects, or analyses as requested
  • Interact daily with accounting team and internal customers
  • Provide mentorship to team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent education
  • Typically, 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Technical abilities: technologically savvy with proficiency in MS Office Suite and working with ERP, Accounting, and Reporting software; experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Accounting Software and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a plus

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is often required to talk, hear at normal speaking levels, sit, and use their hands and fingers to type, handle, or feel, including repetitive motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands; this is a sedentary position involving sitting most of the time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for extensive computer use, reading, and visual inspections
