Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team at Integr8staff. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Record Keeping

Maintain accurate and updated client ledgers by posting payments to their respective matters.

  1. Payment Verification

Confirm payments are applied to the appropriate invoices between fees and costs.

  1. Discrepancy Resolution

Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies between accounting records, researching and resolving errors by communicating with clients, vendors, and/or internal team.

  1. Bank Reconciliation

Responsible for daily bank deposits and daily reconciliation of those deposits.

  1. Financial Transfers

Transfer funds between bank accounts on an as-needed basis.

  1. Client Communication

Respond to clients, attorneys, and staff related to accounts receivables and trust balances.

  1. Check Issuance

Issue checks as requested.

  1. General Ledger Entries

Prepare general ledger entries and maintain supporting records and files.

  1. Balance Sheet Reconciliation

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.

Requirements

  1. Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, required.

  1. Experience

A minimum of 3 years of legal accounting experience is required.

  1. Skills

Must have extensive Accounts Receivable (A/R) and cash application experience.

  1. Certifications

A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and their daily work application.

  1. Analytical Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform duties in a manner that minimizes the likelihood of errors occurring.

  1. Certifications

CPA license preferred.
