Role Overview:

As an integral part of our procurement team, you will support category managers in executing a variety of tasks related to Request for Proposals (RFPs), system configurations, and the sourcing of goods, materials, suppliers, and services, adhering to our established quality benchmarks, availability needs, and budgetary limits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing our Year-Over-Year (YOY) savings and optimizing Trade Working Capital (TWC).

- Collaborate with category managers to conduct sourcing activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and availability requirements through various procurement processes, including RFx and payment term negotiations.

- Evaluate and process Purchase Requisitions via our procurement system, ensuring adherence to our Global Procurement policies and enabling effective future spend analysis.

- Assist in contract management by supporting the Category Manager in reviewing Statements of Work (SOW) and negotiating contracts, while promoting increased spend under contract through our preferred Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool.

- Utilize our e-quoting tool to obtain quotes for services or materials, following guidance from the Category Management team.

- Analyze quotes and contribute to the RFx analysis for indirect categories as part of the overall RFx management process.

- Conduct market research and provide valuable market intelligence to the Category Manager to facilitate economic analysis.

- Generate financial and savings reports using our designated reporting tools.

- Engage in training sessions for our indirect stakeholders, equipping them with the knowledge to effectively collaborate with our team and utilize our agreements.

- Pre-qualify potential suppliers for sourcing opportunities.

- Analyze spend data at a granular level to identify opportunities for cost reduction, standardization, or simplification, addressing any data integrity issues that may arise.

- Perform additional procurement-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

- A minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in indirect procurement, with prior exposure to professional services and logistics being essential.

- A comprehensive understanding of RFx processes and a general knowledge of the Source-To-Pay cycle.

- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management principles, including the ability to interpret SOWs and contracts.

- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel or VBA being mandatory.

- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) or similar data tools is preferred.

- Strong analytical capabilities and sound business judgment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, given the global nature of the role.

- APICS training or certification is advantageous.

- Proven track record of working with key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

- A demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, streamlining processes, and applying Lean/Quality tools to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

- An aptitude for learning and understanding the business and assigned categories, enabling the candidate to effectively execute and deliver value for Johnson Controls.
