RHI Magnesita is a leading global supplier of refractory products and solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Job

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other regulatory requirements;
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and corrective action;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including formulation and specification databases;
  • Implement and monitor quality measurement methodology, driving process improvements and cost savings;
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure a high-performing team culture;
  • Evaluate staffing needs and recommend hiring, training, and development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials, Industrial, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering;
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance, preferably in refractory manufacturing;
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish and English;
  • High proficiency in using ERP, MRP, or similar systems for data input, output, report creation, and data analysis;
  • Training in ISO 9001:2015 and familiarity with relevant industry standards;
  • Strong preference for experience in refractory manufacturing;
  • Ability to work independently, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills;
  • Will to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional demeanor;
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
