Product Quality Assurance Specialist

Acero Prime, a leading metal processing service center in Mexico, offers a comprehensive range of solutions for demanding manufacturing sectors. We are seeking an experienced Product Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving quality processes, testing procedures, and implementing the quality management system to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor product and process quality, providing quick and effective solutions to quality problems reported by clients.
- Analyze and provide recommendations for improvements to quality processes and testing procedures.
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Ensure workflows, processes, and products meet industry standards and regulations.
- Review new projects and releases of part numbers, processes, services for operation requirements and implementation.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics.
- Develop and implement quality control systems.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
- Identify, investigate, and manage risk opportunities using advanced quality tools (Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, PDCA, Control Plan, etc).
- Implement corrective actions to maintain established quality metrics (Return rate, SCRAP, Rework).
- Manage suppliers to support timely delivery of high-quality products to customers.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Metallurgical, or equivalent.
- Fluency in English.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position/industry.
- Excellent knowledge of steel metallurgy processes, quality defects, and properties of Steel (tensile strength, elongation, R & N Value).
- Desirable experience in welding and steel heat treatment processes.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance environments required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a team environment.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Work Arrangements:
This is a full-time position with flexible working hours, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
