Position Overview
The Quality Technician role at Molex LLC is pivotal in maintaining exceptional quality standards within the automotive sector. This position involves close collaboration with the Manufacturing Quality and Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) teams to ensure that measurement methodologies are accurately validated and executed in accordance with the Qualification Plan.
Key Responsibilities
PPAP Activities: Engage with cross-functional teams to implement Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities. Conduct initial sample evaluations and ensure that all necessary documentation aligns with customer requirements. Measurement and Testing: Execute precise measurements and inspections utilizing various tools and equipment to confirm product compliance. Implement statistical process control (SPC) methodologies. Documentation Management: Systematically organize and maintain quality-related documents, including test reports, inspection records, and certificates of conformity. Support for APQP Engineer: Aid the APQP Engineer in developing and executing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. Collaborate with various teams to address quality issues and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives. Problem Solving: Assist in the analysis and resolution of customer complaints or internal quality issues related to new products during the launch phase. Support efforts to prevent recurring issues and enhance the Product Development Processes. Quality Systems and PBM: Understand and apply the KOCH 5 dimensions and guiding principles, along with International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by adhering to established policies and procedures. Internal Audits: Participate in LPA/Product/Process audits for mass production, regularly assessing potential quality risks and leading initiatives for long-term continuous improvement.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality assurance capacity within the automotive industry. Familiarity with Injection Molding, Metal Stamping, and Assembly manufacturing processes. Proficient in executing measurements using various traditional measurement systems. Knowledgeable in PPAP processes, measurement techniques, and quality management systems.Preferred Skills
Experience or training in high-speed automated manufacturing environments. Proficient in SAP and quality software such as Minitab. Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools. In-depth understanding of metrology and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes. Experience with Quality Systems (ISO 9001 or TS) and Supplier Auditing. Knowledge in Gage and Fixture design.#LI-MB2
