Job Summary:

Ruhrpumpen is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer Senior to provide sales and customer support coverage, management, and strategic focus for the North American End-user Sales of Ruhrpumpen in a defined territory and/or account lists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow business in all market segments by calling on assigned customers on a regular basis.
  • Maintain active communication and relationships with respective in-house personnel.
  • Develop and maintain active relationships with buying influences and develop new relationships to maintain and grow customer/territory interactions.
  • Identify and develop new customers and new sales potentials.
  • Responsible for territory/customer forecast, budgets, and cost control via company-approved systems, methods, and policies.
  • Represent all Ruhrpumpen products, including Non-OEM products as defined in sales strategies.
  • Partner with customers to understand project specifications and scope requirements to ensure proposals are generated to meet requirements.
  • Negotiate orders, including all technical, commercial, and legal details to mutual satisfaction of all parties.
  • Provide new pump opportunities to OE Inside Sales Group for quoting and specifications.
  • Travel to customer locations to ensure close and regular face-to-face contact.
  • Entertain customers during and outside normal business hours on a regular basis.
  • Complete monthly activity reports and forecasts, including industry/market/account competitive analysis to support management strategy.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate ideas, concepts, solutions, and customer pay-back at all levels of the customer's organization at a high professional level.
  • Ability to manage a sales territory, develop, and execute individual business plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years of pump industry experience.
