Job Overview

The Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams play a critical role in driving new product development projects, leveraging LEANPD principles to optimize manufacturing technologies and methods. They act as a bridge between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation control systems to reduce operator variability.
  • Develop and update manufacturing process instructions for control systems.
  • Develop and update training materials on control/schematics for manufacturing processes and auto machinery.
  • Support prototypes and pilot production of new products, product changes, and improvements in coordination with Operations and Quality Compliance.
  • Initiate and manage capital goods projects, specifying and implementing new manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyze performance and process control data.
  • Resolve component design deficiencies in relation to component assembly.
  • Suggest design changes to new products to reduce costs and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Prepare machinery connection schematic drawings and assign facilities to project teams as needed.
  • Identify, source, acquire, design, or adapt machines, tools, and equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Provide feedback to R+D engineering on design concepts and specifications.
  • Find and monitor external vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Implement TEOA-specific reporting standards and KPIs.
  • Create new technologies in process designs to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Create innovative ideas to solve manufacturing problems and simplify new products to reduce costs and increase overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead design and builds of automation control designs based on Hermosillo control standards.
Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Fluent English skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Create competitive strategies and plans.
  • Skilled at solving problems.
  • Interpersonal skills, communication, and ability to multitask.
  • Design experience in automation controls (PLCs, servos, vision systems, sensors, ladder logic, function block programming, electrical schematics development, etc.).
  • Control system debugging and optimization.
Experience

5 years of experience in new product launches and automation control system designs and fabrication.
