Senior Communities of Practice Consultant Role

Cemex is seeking a talented and self-motivated Senior Communities of Practice Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Communities of Practice Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, enabling, and mobilizing the best possible community, and managing the mobilization of business value replication between regions. You will connect with other company areas to effectively mobilize business value. Main Responsibilities

  • Design and Lead Communities of Practice Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to drive value and knowledge sharing across business units and regions.
  • Business Value Replication: Develop and implement strategies for the replication of business value across regions.
  • Engage with Cross-Functional Teams: Engage with cross-functional teams to identify and promote best practices that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with Internal Stakeholders: Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
  • Develop Training Programs: Lead the development of training and development programs for communities of practice.
  • Track Progress: Track and report on progress against goals and KPIs.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Mentorship and Management: Manage and mentor junior team members.
  • Initiative Management: Manage and coordinate initiatives across regions while ensuring alignment among diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Relay and transmit technical knowledge to non-experts.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Project Management: Manage and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously. Adapt strategies quickly to address project dynamics and emerging challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Master's degree in Business or Innovation is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in consulting and leading project execution.
  • 8+ years of experience in leading design, enablement, and mobilization offers to customers (internal).
  • Experience in change management, design thinking, PMO/PM, business process management, service design, communication, and leading communities of practice.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, curious, creative, good judgment, abstraction/conceptualization, and resilient.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis (both domestically and internationally) – up to 50%.
