Key Responsibilities- Product Design and Development: Design and redesign products to solve customer complaints, manufacturing issues, or to support cost optimization.
- Engineering Changes: Initiate and execute Engineering Changes to support product manufacturability, including updating drawings and 3D models.
- Product Qualification: Determine the level of product qualification testing required for aerospace products.
- Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering analyses and risk assessment for product reliability.
- Root Cause Analysis: Assist in root cause and corrective action on design-related issues that have resulted in customer complaints, manufacturing, or supplier rejections.
- Product Management: Serve as a key product contact for product management, sourcing, customer service, and sales.
- Market Research: Perform market research and analysis to upgrade existing designs and analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for product ideas.
- Education: Mechanical, Material Science, or Mechatronic Engineering degree (or equivalent).
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in product design/sustaining for the aerospace industry.
- Language: Fully bilingual English-Spanish.
- Software: Experience with CREO or SolidWorks design software.
- Skills: Strong mechanical and material analysis, troubleshooting skills, and interpersonal and communication skills.
