Job Summary

The Operations Project Manager III will play a key role in facilitating and leading strategic initiatives for a defined customer or user. This individual will provide management and guidance to multi-functional project teams, manage and enhance customer relationships, and ensure full accountability for project schedules, project management, and performance requirements for enterprise-level projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all project requirements and objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution.
  2. Build and lead teams to address project goals and objectives.
  3. Collaborate with customers from requirements gathering through product acceptance and approval.
  4. Align project teams with customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and stakeholders within the project.
  5. Review project schedules with functional project managers and project coordinators allocated to projects.
  6. Provide guidance and motivation to project teams to successfully achieve project goals and corporate initiatives.
  7. Communicate project objectives in terms of overall strategic business objectives.
  8. Serve as an interface with customers, vendors, stakeholders, and project sponsors.
  9. Manage the development of project plans with a focus on achieving project goals and corporate initiatives, including project-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or metrics.
  10. Recognize project KPIs and manage work within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
  11. Drive projects to completion in accordance with project schedules.
  12. Coordinate team efforts to develop integrated project plans and risk analyses with action plans to mitigate risks.
  13. Manage resource capacity and time tracking allocated to projects.
  14. Participate in financial management and analysis of costs for projects, including Capital Expenditures Requests (CERs), travel, training, resource allocation, and other project-related costs.
  15. Accountable for overall project success, including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.
  16. Report project status, issues, and implemented solutions, as well as evaluations and assessments of results.
  17. Provide leaders with updates, including greatest opportunities for improvement.
  18. Recognize potential problem areas against plans and identify and implement alternative solutions.
  19. Identify best cost solutions to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
  20. Provide key stakeholders with regular project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of corrective actions (if required).
  21. Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
  22. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, anticipating, meeting, and exceeding expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority.
  23. Drive relevant, concise, and effective communication through various mediums.
  24. Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  25. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desirable.
  3. Knowledge of organization's operating policies and procedures required.
  4. Knowledge of organization's culture and guiding principles.
  5. Previous experience in manufacturing environments: engineering, test, quality, planning, materials, etc.
  6. Prior experience in customer interface.
  7. Strong operational and financial knowledge required.
  8. Substantial knowledge of Jabil and demonstrated ability to leverage organization.
  9. Consultative skills (ability to understand true customer needs).
  10. Good communications skills.
  11. Distinctive problem-solving leader.
  12. Should have the following personal characteristics: strong leader, professional, hard-charging, detail-oriented, reliable, calm under fire, creative, with a can-do attitude.
  13. Automotive/Medical background experience as required.
  14. Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills required.
Education & Experience Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree required (Supply Chain Management or Engineering).
  2. PMP certified professional is desirable.
  3. Minimum 2 years work-related experience required in a supervisory/management role.
  4. Minimum 2 years project management experience or related discipline.
  5. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
