Production Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Specialist to join our Integrated Supply Chain team at Honeywell. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the planning and coordination of production schedules and material coverage processes to meet customer requirements and operational business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Capacity Planning: Review and analyze capacity lines per MRPC for assigned production lines to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Production Planning: Create and manage the production plan/master production schedule for specific plants or products to drive high levels of customer service and low levels of inventory.
- Capacity Constraints: Escalate capacity constraints and suggest solutions to resolve gaps, ensuring seamless production operations.
- Material Management: Manage material constraints in the mid-term horizon to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Provide input and participate in the supply review process to ensure timely and efficient material delivery.
- System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues in SAP and Rapid Response planning systems to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Leadership and Coaching: Interact and coach functional leaders to ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Material Expedite: Review and request to expedite materials (internal/external) to meet critical production deadlines.
- KPI Management: Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for delivery, past due, inventory, and master production schedule.
- NPI Projects: Collaborate on new product introduction (NPI) projects to ensure smooth production ramp-up.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data in Excel, Power BI, and Tableau to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in planning, master planning, or demand planning.
- Master Scheduling: 3+ years of master scheduling experience.
- Language: English (90% written and spoken).
- Software: Proficiency in SAP, Kinaxis/Rapid Response (a plus), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Full understanding of the supply chain process.
- Purchasing Systems: Working knowledge of purchasing systems and methodologies.
- Planning and SIOP: Strong understanding of planning and SIOP/S&OP/IBP processes.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and a team player.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Purchasing Experience: Several years' experience in a purchasing or planning environment.
- Planning and Negotiations: Planning, negotiations, and agreements/contract management experience.
- Procurement Knowledge: Good technical knowledge of procurement/sourcing.
- Kinaxis Rapid Response: Kinaxis Rapid Response knowledge (desirable).
