Deputy Plant Manager

At Faurecia, a leading sustainable mobility technology company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Plant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our production leadership team, you will be responsible for setting up and managing production in accordance with cost, quality, and deadline constraints.
Your Mission, Roles, and ResponsibilitiesThe Deputy Plant Manager will define the manufacturing strategy for product lines and ensure the overall performance of production. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising UAP (Autonomous Production Unit) managers and supporting function managers (HR, Quality, Finance, Logistics, Purchasing, etc.) to ensure the proper flow of information.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the plant's performance in terms of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
- Developing and respecting the plant's budget and obtaining improvement in QCD results of products and processes.
- Optimizing the plant layout and the use of equipment.
- Ensuring the proper anticipation of production launches of new products at all levels of the plant.
- Driving supplier performance improvement.
- Defining a deployment plan for the Faurecia Excellence System and implementing it.
- Involving everyone in the continuous improvement process.
- Ensuring employee health, environmental protection, and plant safety.
- Recruiting, integrating, training, and developing the plant's employees.
- Managing labor relations with the Plant Manager.
- Developing future Faurecia experts and managers.
- Animating the Gap (TOP5, QRQC, TOP 60, HSE audit).
- Generating and implementing improvement ideas.
The Plant has a diverse team of employees. As a Deputy Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing this team to achieve our production goals.
Your Profile and Competencies to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum education level of Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (preferred) from an engineering school.
- Successful experience in production management and lean manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a multi-site industrial environment.
- Proven experience in team management, leadership skills, and ability to coach.
- Knowledge in finance & control management.
- High degree of autonomy in day-to-day management and decision making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to unite teams.
- Results-oriented.
