We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team in Mexico City or Monterrey. As a key member of our Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting critical projects and managing the administration of our cloud-based database environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with global teams to share knowledge and best practices in database administration.
- Develop and implement database installation, upgrade, and planning strategies to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical expertise and support for optimizing and tuning database systems.
- Design and implement database security, backup, and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
- Participate in on-call duty and rotational weekend tasks to ensure 24/7 support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in database administration, with a focus on relational databases such as SAP HANA, Sybase ASE, Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience in database installations, monitoring, upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation.
- Knowledge of database concepts such as security, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, system copy, high availability, disaster recovery strategy, export-import, and replication.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting processes.
- Familiarity with SAP product suite, including SAP Basis, SAP Replication Server, and SAP IQ.
