About the Role

The Clorox Company is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting cross-functional partners with monthly and quarterly close responsibilities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Monthly and Quarterly Accounting Close Activities: Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations: Conduct thorough reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
  • Process Improvement Opportunities: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
  • Internal Controls Execution: Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies to maintain a strong control environment.
  • External and Internal Audit Support: Provide timely and accurate support to external and internal auditors as needed.
  • Special Project Work: Participate in special projects as required to support business objectives.
Requirements
  • Good Analytical Accounting Skills: Possess strong analytical skills to interpret and analyze financial data.
  • US GAAP and Financial Statements: Have a solid understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional partners.
  • Prioritization and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong prioritization and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Possess the ability to work effectively in teams and with cross-functional partners to achieve business objectives.
  • PC Applications and SAP Knowledge: Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Office preferred) and have knowledge of SAP.
  • Bachelor's Degree and Accounting Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and have 3-4 years of experience in accounting.
