**Job Summary**:

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flows.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and contribute to the objectives of data science initiatives and overall business through leveraging in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function.

- Assume an informal/formal leadership role through coaching and training of new recruits.

- Significantly influence decisions, work, and performance of all teams through advice, counsel, and/or facilitating services to others in the business.

- Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications, and make strategic recommendations.

- Develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.

- Mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.

- Deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to identify data required, assess time & effort required, and establish a project plan.

- Consult with business clients to identify system functional specifications.

- Apply comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business goals.

- Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards.

- Recommend solutions.

- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.

- Impact the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others.

- Impact own team and closely related work teams.

- Drive communication between business leaders and IT.

- Exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.

**Requirements**:

- 5-8 years of experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets.

- Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.

- Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

**Education**:

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

- 3+ years of experience in data projects (ETL, DWH, DataLake, information analysis).

- 3+ years of experience in AbInitio/ExpressIT.

- 3+ years of experience with Relational Database Systems and SQL such as Teradata, SQLServer Oracle or similar.

- 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.

- Preferred 5+ years in-depth experience with Hadoop stack (MapReduce, HDFS, YARN) and with some Hadoop ecosystems tools (HIVE, HBase, Pig, Impala, Sqoop, etc).

- Preferred 5+ years of experience in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, PHP, Java, Javascript, C++, C#, C, etc).

- Preferred 2+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra, Neo4j, etc).

- Preferred 3+ years of experience with Linux or Unix Operative Systems.

- Preferred 2+ years of experience using DevOps to do CI / CD.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

- Data driven and results-oriented.

- Experience delivering with an agile methodology.

- Experience leading infrastructure and technical programs.

- Skilled at working with third-party service providers.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- English 80% speaking and writing.

- Ability to deliver cross-functional solutions with multiple customers.

- Strong people skills.

- Communication complex technical concepts to non-technical people.

- High teamwork capacity.

- Ability to handle multiple projects.
