About the Job:



We are seeking an experienced Agronomy Development Manager to join our team in Tepic, Mexico. As a key member of our agronomy development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of technologies that drive efficiency, quality, and sustainability in our tobacco production processes.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Technology Development: Develop and implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance our tobacco production processes, focusing on areas such as crop yield improvement, disease management, and water conservation.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge, ensuring a pipeline of talent for future leadership roles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, supply chain, and research and development, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and buy-in from all levels of the organization.


Requirements:




  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in agriculture, supply chain, or operations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with sustainability standards and certifications, such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
