Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at Hewlett Packard. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and interpreting product data to support business decision-making and optimize product-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyze large datasets related to product information, performance, and market trends to identify patterns, correlations, and insights.
    • Develop and apply statistical models and algorithms to interpret complex data and support decision-making.
    • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders.
  2. Data Management and Governance:
    • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product data across various systems and platforms.
    • Implement data quality measures and perform data cleansing to address discrepancies and ensure reliable data.
    • Collaborate with data stewards and IT teams to maintain and improve data governance practices.
  3. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to track product performance, trends, and other key business metrics.
    • Document data processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and comprehensively.
    • Present analytical results and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  4. System and Tool Utilization:
    • Utilize advanced data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) to extract, manipulate, and visualize data.
    • Support the integration of product data with other business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) to ensure seamless data flow and utilization.
  5. Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
    • Assist in the development and execution of data-driven strategies and initiatives.
    • Provide training and support to team members on data analysis tools and best practices.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving data management processes and implementing best practices.
    • Propose and implement enhancements to data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  7. Compliance and Best Practices:
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and product data management.

Requirements:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within product data management or a related field.
  3. Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
    • Proficiency with data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for creating reports and dashboards.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

The base pay range for this role is $118,050 to $171,200 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
