Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead our Production Improvement Engineering team in reducing aircraft cost, non-conformances, and improving manufacturability through redesign.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead stress analysis across the Engineering organization
  • Design and develop composite airframe primary and secondary structures using Creo (Pro/E) CAD software
  • Create statistics and KPIs to track results
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management for project statuses, constraints, and critical issues
Requirements
  • 8 to 10 years of experience designing general aviation primary and secondary structures, including composites and injection molded plastics, using complex surfaces in Pro Element/Creo
  • Startup experience and manufacturing company experience preferred
  • Aeronautical industry experience and Materials and Processing (M&P) oversight required
  • Preliminary sizing for stress through hand calculations or Pro/Mechanical Finite Element Analysis
  • MRP/ERP system understanding for EBOM, MBOM, Routings, Inventory levels, etc.
  • MS Office Intermediate skills
  • Highly intelligent, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with good judgment and self-starter qualities
  • Energetic and passionate with an entrepreneurial mindset
