Job Title: Loss Prevention Specialist

At Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V., we are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. This is a key hourly associate position in our Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs).

Job Summary:

The Loss Prevention Specialist will lead the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection in a designated fulfillment center. This role reports to the Loss Prevention Manager responsible for their facility and supports the FC Operational team and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators to drive performance improvements and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place to meet Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud, and conduct interviews as needed.
  • Inspire performance excellence among security services team members.
  • Align performance and actions with the organization's vision and values.
  • Meet or surpass objectives aligned with the security service model.
  • Identify, promote, and implement security best practices in the designated FC.
  • Serve as the department's liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency.
  • Effectively partner with internal customers to evaluate current and future security services, processes, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate data collection and analysis to generate strategic and tactical interpretations.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Shift work will be required, potentially including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate English level (B1+).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts and certification.
  • Strong familiarity with databases, querying, and analyzing, such as SQL, MySQL, Access, and Exception Based Reporting.
  • Interviewing and interrogation experience, with Wicklander and Zulawski certification a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or on track to obtaining a Bachelor's degree in less than one year.
  • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services.
  • Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience.
  • Awareness and implementation of best practices related to physical security systems, investigation techniques, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with remote supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
  • Analytical experience in a performance-based, action-oriented setting.
